Our 2016 fall season officially ended today, and the consensus was that it was our best season yet. Over 1200 students, representing 15 international schools in China and Hong Kong, participated in 25 separate trips organized by Keystone Adventures, in locations all across China. While the season got off to a rough start in September (two trips had to be postponed at the last minute due to the shutdown of Hangzhou during the G20 summit), the rest of the season proceeded without a hitch. Students rode camels and stayed in yurts in Inner Mongolia, helped restore Hakka round-houses in Fujian, rock climbed in Yunnan, swung through the trees in a zip-line in Sichuan, got dirty in the mud caves of Yangshuo, took part in an “Amazing Race” in Hangzhou, and much much more. Keystone Adventures also facilitated adventurous journeys for more than 400 students in the Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award program, across the bronze, silver, and gold levels.
I’d like to personally thank our staff for their hard work in ensuring the safety and enjoyment of participants. I’d also like to thank our clients for their support. And last but not least, I’d like to thank participating students and teachers for making these trips fun for us, and for reminding us day in and day out why we are in this business. We look forward to seeing all of you again in 2017!
