Our Jiangsu trips are designed primarily for schools in Shanghai, Suzhou, Changzhou, Wuxi, Nanjing, and other cities in the Yangtse Delta region. As a result of travel restrictions and/or a natural preference for local programs, we understand that many schools increasingly want to stay close to campus. Towards this end, we are proud to offer programs in 8 different locations in Jiangsu!

Our program in Nantong is ideal for primary school students, and features soft-adventure and team-building at a self-contained outdoor base. Our programs in Suzhou, meanwhile run the gamut from team-building trips, to multi-day International Award hiking expeditions, to STEM-themed educational trips. While the city of Suzhou is among the most economically developed in all of China, it also boasts an impressive network of hiking and biking trails, and numerous lakes with on-site water sports bases.

Moving on to southern Jiangsu, we also run programs in several locations in Yixing and Liyang. This is certainly the most mountainous part of the province. It sits at the northern edge of China’s “bamboo belt” region, which also includes parts of Zhejiang and Anhui. These are great locations to experience traditional rural culture and undertake impactful service projects. In addition, we have developed several discrete hiking routes in the area, with well-maintained campsites along the way. The routes are both challenging and accessible, and work well for multi-day hiking expeditions and IA Adventurous Journeys.
