IB CAS Trips

Keystone Adventures can assist you with developing a customized itinerary that can incorporate the Creativity, Service, Action (CAS) elements, in order to fulfill the requirements of your International Baccalaureate (IB) program. We can engage your students with an expedition to some of China’s most interest locations, where students will learn about China’s rich culture and help communities that have limited access to outside support. The CAS requirements are as follows:

Keystone Adventures CAS/IB programs involve a variety of different activities, including cultural, service, and outdoor activities. Students will learn about different cultures through participatory EOTC experiences and supporting materials. As part of every CAS/IB program, each participant will receive a packet of information which introduce program locations, culture, and specific activities, as well as topics for group discussion and person reflection.

In addition to the Han majority, China’s population includes 55 ethnic minority groups whose cultural traditions, each of which is rich with history and tradition. From the Hakka roundhouses of rural Fujian to hill-tribes in Southern Yunnan, Keystone operates programs in a dozen provinces (and counting!). In short, our cultural tours will expose students to the incredible diversity of China.

Keystone’s service trips emphasize outdoor experiential learning through projects that benefit local communities. We believe that all of our service activities are both meaningful and sustainable, in that they can be continued year after year. Through hands-on work and deep exposure to the local culture, students learn vital collaboration and problem-solving skills. And, they return home inspired to make a difference. Specific service projects include volunteering on farms, visiting rural schools, renovating homes in impoverished areas, planting, trees, and more.

Please take a look at our locations for information on the types of activities that we organize. Unfortunately, for competitive reasons, we don’t publish detailed itineraries on our website, and we recommend that you contact us for more information.
