KA RESUMES NORMAL OPERATIONS!

We are proud to announce that Keystone Adventures has officially resumed normal business operations!

2020 was a challenging year for us, as the overwhelming majority of our clients decided not to run any trips, due to uncertainty surrounding the COVID-19 Pandemic. Without any programs to operate, we spent the year retooling and redeveloping. Specifically, we developed more than 20 new programs in sites close to our client schools, to eliminate the need for flights/trains. We redesigned and expanded our comprehensive training program for new staff. We upgraded all of our IT systems, including both our internal staff portal and the portal that clients use to register for KA trips. Finally, we tinkered with our SOPS, developed new games and activities, and expanded the educational content that we use on our trips.

I’m proud to report that our efforts paid off, as we received bookings for more than 40 programs in the spring of 2021, with projected participation in excess of 2,000 students.

Earlier this month, all of our full-time staff attended 3 days of comprehensive training in Shanghai, covering child safeguarding, facilitation, first-aid, high ropes, and water safety. While most of our staff already hold advanced certifications in first-aid, Leave no Trace environmental management, and other areas, I think that everyone appreciated the refresher.

We’re grateful to our clients for sticking with us, and are looking forward to a busy 2021 and beyond.
